WPB Philanthropic Impact

As part of its mission, each year WPB practices collective philanthropy by passing through philanthropic funding to the College of Human Sciences by the awarding of student scholarships and programmatic support. Since its 2002 inception, WPB has provided a cumulative total of more than $1,000,000 in scholarships and grants.

Each year, scholarships are provided to one student in each of the majors offered in the College of Human Sciences. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for CHS projects and awardees are determined by a group of CHS administrators including the Dean. Previous grants funded by WPB have included the Alabama FAFSA Survival Toolkit, The Reading & Relationships Project, Partners in Health Program, and the Staying Connected Fatherhood Initiative for Reentry Fathers, just to name a very few.
